Peters Extends Hot Streak

Tristan Peters continued his remarkable offensive surge, driving in two runs in a 10-4 victory for the Chicago White Sox over the Texas Rangers at Rate Field. The White Sox, who improved to a 70-63 record, capitalized on a five-hit performance to secure the win, while the Rangers fell to 66-68.

The game featured three total home runs, all of which contributed significantly to the final margin.

Early Offense Sets Tone

The Rangers struck first in the bottom of the second inning. B. Montgomery doubled to right, allowing Meidroth to score. Shortly after, Doyle singled to left, scoring Montgomery.

Chicago responded in the top of the third when Pederson hit a 394-foot home run to right center, bringing in Freeman to tie the game at two. In the fourth, the Rangers took a 4-2 lead on singles by Vargas and Antonacci, which drove in Peters and a runner respectively.

Peters then extended his hitting streak with a 362-foot homer to right in the fifth, scoring Rogers to make it 6-2.

Late Surge Decides It

The White Sox pulled away in the sixth inning. Antonacci’s single to left scored Vargas, making it 7-2. Doyle then launched a 393-foot home run to left center, driving in Murakami and B. Montgomery to increase the lead to 10-2.

The Rangers managed two insurance runs in the seventh when Duran singled to center, scoring Langford and Nimmo. Sean Newcomb earned the win with three scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out one. Jonathan Cannon recorded the save, pitching three innings with four hits, two earned runs, two walks, and four strikeouts.

Pitching Breakdown

MacKenzie Gore took the loss for Texas, pitching 3.2 innings and allowing eight hits and four earned runs while walking four and striking out four. Sean Burke started for Chicago, throwing three innings and allowing two hits and two earned runs while issuing eight walks and striking out three. The attendance at Rate Field was 16,038.
