Base repairs are complete in Fort Worth’s Handley Area Repaving Project, and the city says paving will begin now that recent rain has cleared. Its October project update targets completion by the end of the month.

The $3 million maintenance project covers portions of streets in Council District 5, including Acapulco Road, Beckwood Drive, Bermejo Road, Castillo Road, Craig Street, Escalante Avenue and Patino Road. The city’s project page lists the full set of affected blocks.

Work includes asphalt resurfacing, recycling, milling and overlaying. The scope also calls for replacing damaged curbs, gutters and driveways, along with curb ramps that do not meet requirements.

The October update does not give an exact paving start day. Residents can check the project page for the full street list and later schedule updates. The city lists project manager Tariqul Islam at 817-392-2486 for questions.
