Fort Worth, Texas — Dallas signed Jett Howard to a two-way deal on July 20 and asked for waivers on forward Tyler Smith, the Mavericks announced.
Howard, a 6-foot-8, 215-pound guard-forward, spent his first three NBA seasons with the Orlando Magic. He was the No. 11 selection in the 2023 draft.
The 22-year-old appeared in 55 Magic games in 2025-26, averaging 5.5 points, according to the Dallas announcement. Contract terms were not released by the team.
Hoops Rumors reported the agreement covers one season and follows Dallas opening the two-way roster spot.
