The Dallas Cowboys have finalized a three-year contract extension with tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford. His agent, Mike McCartney, confirmed the agreement via social media.
Spann-Ford was originally scheduled to reach restricted free agency status in 2027. Prior to this new deal, he was set to earn $966,666 during the current season.
The team selected Spann-Ford as an undrafted free agent following the 2024 draft. He played college football at the University of Minnesota. Since joining the organization, he has appeared in all 34 games available to him.
His performance on the field has shifted the depth chart behind the starting tight end position. He has taken over the role as the team's second-string tight end from Luke Schoonmaker, who was a second-round selection in 2023.
Offensively, Spann-Ford has recorded 18 receptions for 178 yards and one touchdown. Over the last two seasons, he has participated in 25.5 percent of the team's offensive plays.
