Two companies identified with Fort Worth appear on U.S. News & World Report's 2026-2027 Best Companies to Work For list, which honored 48 employers across Dallas-Fort Worth, as reported by our sister paper DallasWeekly.news.

Farmer Brothers is a coffee foodservice company that roasts, sells and delivers coffee, tea and supplies to restaurants, hotels and other businesses nationwide. Its corporate office sits at 14501 North Freeway in the Alliance area, a 25,000-square-foot headquarters the company leased in 2024, and the company reports roughly 3,800 employees nationwide under president and chief executive John Moore.

Pier 1 Imports, the home furnishings brand long synonymous with Fort Worth, is also identified with the city on the U.S. News list.

The list evaluated about 3,900 companies across 14 industries on six measures: quality of pay and benefits, work-life balance and flexibility, job and company stability, physical and psychological comfort, belongingness and esteem, and career opportunities and professional development.

Across the metroplex, Dallas led with 24 honorees, Irving followed with 13, and Plano placed five. The rankings were first reported locally by CultureMap Fort Worth.
