Fort Worth ISD Has Three Campuses at 97 and Seven Rated F

Fort Worth ISD's 2026 accountability report describes a district operating at both ends of the state's rating scale at once.

Three campuses scored 97: the Young Women's Leadership Academy, the Texas Academy of Biomedical Sciences and Marine Creek Collegiate High School. Seven campuses received an F, including Woodway Elementary at 52 and both Carter Park Elementary and Morningside Middle School at 54.

The district's overall rating from the Texas Education Agency is a C with a score of 77.

The distribution

Of 120 rated campuses, 17 earned an A, 35 a B, 43 a C, 18 a D and seven an F.

That means roughly one campus in five is rated D or F, the highest such share among districts in our coverage area, while 52 campuses are rated A or B.

The domains

Fort Worth scored 78 in school progress and 77 in closing the gaps, both C ratings.

Student achievement was the weakest domain at 73, also a C, with academic growth at 72. The district's progress score sitting above its achievement score indicates improvement is happening faster than raw performance reflects, a pattern it shares with Dallas ISD.

A district of 67,315

Fort Worth ISD serves 67,315 students across 134 schools, in a city whose neighborhoods vary widely in income and in the resources families bring to a school.

A single district grade compresses that variation into one letter. The campus-level data, published for every school at TXSchools.gov, is where the actual range becomes visible, and in Fort Worth ISD that range runs from 97 to 52.
