NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth is partnering with Fort Worth’s Animal Care and Control for a "Clear the Shelters" adoption event scheduled for Saturday, August 22. The event will take place at Henry’s Animal Campus, located at 351 Hillshire Dr. in Fort Worth, Texas.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive by 9:00 a.m., when doors open, to meet members of the NBC 5 and Telemundo 39 news teams, including anchor Brian Curtis.
All adoption fees for animals at the shelter will be waived during the event. The outlet also noted that parking is free for visitors. Attendees may have the opportunity to receive giveaways while at the campus. The facility’s GPS address may appear as Haslet, Texas, depending on the navigation system used.
The "Clear the Shelters" campaign is currently active in 60 local shelters and will continue through August 31. Residents interested in viewing available animals prior to the event can access a list of pets at the shelter by visiting the outlet’s website. The news team invited the community to come out and adopt a new family member during the specified time frame.
