However, Burger silenced the Mariners’ comeback attempt later in the sixth inning. He singled to center field, driving in Nimmo to restore the Rangers’ lead at 4-3. Shortly after, Burger reached base again and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Lopez, which scored Carter to extend the margin to 5-3.
Pitching Struggles and Late Drama
The game featured volatile pitching performances from both sides. Seattle’s starting pitcher Bryce Miller took the loss, enduring a difficult outing that saw him allow five earned runs over 5.1 innings.
