4 1/3 scoreless innings
Cody Bradford gave the Texas Rangers 4 1/3 scoreless innings, and the Rangers pitching staff completed a 6-0 shutout of the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Globe Life Field.
Bradford allowed five hits and two walks while striking out five. Tyler Alexander followed with 1 2/3 innings with no hits or walks and three strikeouts, earning the win to improve to 2-2. Robby Ahlstrom, Chase Silseth and Cole Winn each pitched one inning as Texas kept San Francisco from scoring.
Four runs in the third
Texas did all the scoring it needed in the third inning. Nimmo singled to right to score Langford for a 1-0 lead. Foscue followed with a triple to left, bringing in Nimmo and Burger and pushing the lead to 3-0.
Díaz then doubled to left, scoring Foscue and making it 4-0. All four runs in the inning were charged to Carson Whisenhunt, who took the loss and fell to 2-3 after allowing five hits, four earned runs and three walks with four strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings.
Nimmo adds the only homer
Nimmo supplied the game’s only home run in the fifth inning, hitting a 350-foot shot to left for a 5-0 Texas lead. It was the only homer listed among the scoring plays, and it accounted for one run.
