Fort Worth Cops for Kids is recruiting golfers and financial backers for its upcoming Panther City Golf Classic. The event is scheduled for Nov. 2 at The Resort Golf Club in Fort Worth.
A shotgun start will begin at 9 a.m. Organizers are currently accepting various sponsorship levels and player registrations to fill the field.
All funds raised from the tournament will support Cops for Kids, a nonprofit group that has assisted at-risk youth in Fort Worth since 2003. The organization provides mentorship, outreach programs, and educational assistance to local children.
Bel Haddad, chairman of Cops for Kids, stated that the charity has helped thousands of children through scholarships, hospital visits, social events, and emergency aid. He noted these efforts help build stronger ties between law enforcement and the community.
Haddad said participation in the golf classic provides critical resources to underserved youth. The funds give them hope, opportunity, and a chance to thrive, according to the chairman.
