The Houston Texans have signed defensive end Derek Parish to a contract as of Wednesday. This move comes as Parish looks to re-enter the NFL after not making the 53-man roster for the Jacksonville Jaguars as a seventh-round draft pick in 2023.
At 27 years old, Parish appears ready to take another opportunity in the league. He is expected to participate in the Texans' preseason finale against the Carolina Panthers, filling a potential gap left by injured players Jadeveon Clowney and Dominique Robinson.
Further details regarding the terms of the contract and Parish's role on the team have not yet been disclosed.
