TCU did not need another marathon set to keep its volleyball streak alive. Five days after a four-set win over UCF, the Horned Frogs swept Arizona on Friday, Oct. 9, at Schollmaier Arena in Fort Worth.
The 25–17, 25–23, 25–20 result gave No. 8 TCU its 12th consecutive victory and kept its Big 12 record clean at 5–0. The Frogs are 14–2 overall.
There was still work to do late. Arizona drew even at 17 in the third set before TCU pulled away to complete its sixth sweep of the season. Winning in three did not mean every stretch was comfortable: the second set was decided by just two points.
The larger difference was attacking efficiency. TCU hit .320 while holding Arizona to .154, a gap that helped the home team finish without offering the Wildcats a fourth-set opening. Arizona left Fort Worth at 6–9 overall and 1–3 in conference play.
Now the streak travels. TCU is scheduled to visit No. 11 Arizona State in Tempe on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 4 p.m. Central, with ESPN2 carrying the match. For Fort Worth fans, that is the next test of whether the Frogs can turn their unbeaten conference start into something sturdier than a strong homestand.
