Gossler arrives with over 15 years of expertise in fundraising, ticket sales, and commercial strategy. He previously held the position of Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development and Chief Revenue Officer at the University of Wyoming, where he notably enhanced cash and pledges through the Cowboy Joe Club and set records for premium seating and ticket sales.
Before his tenure at Wyoming, Gossler contributed significantly at the U.S. Air Force Academy, achieving five consecutive years of record fundraising. His background also includes impactful work at Arizona State University, where he played a key role in raising $86 million during a major fundraising initiative and assisted in the launch of the men's hockey program with considerable donor support.
Gossler's diverse experience across various athletic departments equips him to meet SMU's demands as it competes in one of the largest and wealthiest markets in the country. He intends to enhance revenue through innovative approaches while fostering connections with fans, supporters, and corporate partners.
