Mitch Van Vooren has officially signed with the Dallas Cowboys, as reported by Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. This move comes after Van Vooren was waived by the New England Patriots on August 18.
The Cowboys are currently facing challenges with injuries to their backup tight ends, including Brevyn Spann-Ford, Michael Trigg, and D.J. Rogers. Due to these injuries, the team had only two healthy tight ends available during their last preseason game.
Van Vooren has not yet made an appearance in an NFL regular-season game, but he may have an opportunity to showcase his skills in the Cowboys' final preseason matchup.
