Trevon Diggs, a former cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys, has officially signed a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the signing on his social media account, marking a significant move for both Diggs and the Seahawks.

This signing comes shortly after the Seahawks also added cornerback Terrion Arnold, who is currently facing serious legal issues, including potential life imprisonment on charges of kidnapping and robbery in Florida.

Diggs, who is 27 years old, has made a notable impact in his career with 20 interceptions and 63 passes defensed, and he is expected to compete for a position in a secondary that has been dealing with injuries.

Diggs previously signed a lucrative five-year, $97 million contract extension with the Cowboys in July 2023 but faced challenges in his last seasons. He played in only 22 of 51 regular-season games over a span of three years.

His tenure with the Cowboys ended when he was waived after a series of incidents, including a mysterious injury he sustained at home, which he attributed to a television falling on him while attempting to mount it.

The Cowboys released Diggs after he requested to remain in the D.C. area with family following a Christmas Day game against the Washington Commanders, instead of flying back with the team. This request was denied, leading to his eventual release shortly thereafter. Further details regarding his future with the Seahawks and the team's plans for him have not yet been disclosed.
