Von Miller, the NFL's active leader in career sacks, has signed a one-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys, marking his return to Texas. The DeSoto native announced his signing via an Instagram post with the phrase, "Hereee Weee Gooo."

Entering his 15th NFL season, Miller previously played for the Washington Commanders in 2025, where he recorded 26 tackles and nine sacks over 17 games. He has also played for the Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Rams, and Denver Broncos, who selected him second overall in the 2011 NFL Draft.

Miller is a two-time Super Bowl champion, winning titles with the Rams in 2021 and the Broncos in 2015.

With a total of 138.5 career sacks, Miller leads all active NFL players and is tied for 13th on the all-time list alongside Hall of Famer DeMarcus Ware. Throughout his career, he has accumulated 607 tackles, 271 quarterback hits, and 27 forced fumbles across 203 games. His accolades include eight Pro Bowl selections and three First Team All-Pro honors.

The Cowboys are set to begin their 2026 regular season on September 13, facing the New York Giants in a Sunday Night Football matchup.
