Alvarez Drives in Key Runs
Jose Alvarez delivered the offensive spark Houston needed, hitting two home runs to help the Astros secure a 10-8 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays at Daikin Park. Alvarez’s performance included a two-run homer in the seventh inning and a decisive two-run blast in the ninth that capped the scoring.
Alvarez’s first home run came in the third inning, a two-run shot that extended Houston’s lead. His second home run, a two-run drive to center field in the ninth inning, sealed the win. Alvarez also contributed an RBI single in the fifth inning and a sacrifice fly in the seventh, finishing with four runs batted in.
