Fort Worth, Texas — Gas prices in the Fort Worth-Arlington area averaged $3.9731 per gallon for regular unleaded on September 19, 2026, according to AAA, up from $3.9654 yesterday. That is up from $3.8732 a week ago but higher than $3.6942 a month ago.

The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.9516, while the national average is $4.4759. Drivers in the Fort Worth-Arlington area are paying above the state average and below the national average.

The Fort Worth-Arlington average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8360. Regular prices are about 28 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.8451, drivers are paying about 113 cents more per gallon.

Diesel in the Fort Worth-Arlington area averages $5.9822 per gallon, AAA reported.
