Lockheed Martin Corp. secured two defense contracts from the U.S. Department of War totaling more than $607 million. The awards were announced on Tuesday and cover support services for AH-64 aircraft as well as modifications to the Global Positioning System.
The company’s facility in Orlando, Florida, received a contract valued at $502,381,686. This agreement provides post-production support services for the Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight and Pilot Night Vision Sight systems used on AH-64 aircraft. The contract combines cost-no-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee, and firm-fixed-price structures. Work under this agreement is scheduled to be completed by July 5, 2031. The Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama solicited the bid and received a single response.
A separate task order worth $105,000,000 was awarded to Lockheed Martin Services LLC in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This maximum firm-fixed-price order focuses on Global Positioning System modifications. Specifically, the contract covers control segment modifications designed to deliver command and control capabilities for the next generation of GPS III follow-on space vehicles. Work related to this GPS contract will take place in Colorado Springs and is expected to finish by December 31, 2030. The Space Systems Command at Peterson Space Force Base awarded this sole-source acquisition. Fiscal 2026 research, development, test, and evaluation funds totaling $10,068,764 were obligated at the time of the award.
