Nimmo Powers Rangers Offense
Brandon Nimmo was the decisive force for the Texas Rangers, recording four hits and driving in five runs in an 8-5 victory over the Athletics on Wednesday at Globe Life Field. The standout performance came in a game that saw the home team overcome an early deficit to secure the win. Attendance at the venue reached 24,253 fans.
Scoring Sequence Unfolds
The Athletics took the lead in the top of the first inning when Seager scored on Nimmo’s double to left field. However, the Rangers tied the game in the third inning with a single by Butler that allowed Gelof to score. Nimmo then singled to right field in the same frame to bring in Seager, giving Texas a 2-1 lead.
The Athletics extended their margin to 5-1 by the end of the fifth inning, scoring twice on a Nimmo single that allowed Pederson and Seager to cross the plate, followed by a groundout that brought in Langford.
The Rangers mounted a significant comeback in the sixth inning. O’Hoppe hit a sacrifice fly to left field for Carter, followed by Seager’s sacrifice fly that scored Díaz. Nimmo added another RBI with a single to right field that brought home Langford, cutting the deficit to 8-1.
