TCU expects wide receiver Jordan Dwyer to return from a foot injury when the Horned Frogs begin Big 12 competition against UCF on Sept. 26. Dwyer has missed the team’s first three games of the 2026 season.
Head coach Sonny Dykes shared the update after TCU defeated Arkansas State 31-7. “We expect Jordan to play next week,” Dykes told reporters. He also said Dwyer’s return would provide a lift for the team.
Dwyer joined TCU from Idaho and became one of the Horned Frogs’ most productive offensive players during the 2025 season. He started every regular-season game and finished with 54 catches, 730 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. In his TCU debut against North Carolina, he made nine receptions for 136 yards and scored once.
While Dwyer has been unavailable, other TCU pass catchers have taken on larger roles. Ed Small has become one of the team’s leading receivers, and tight end Kari Ashley contributed during the Arkansas State victory. Those players have helped give quarterback Jaden Craig several options during the opening games.
TCU is 2-1 entering conference play. Dwyer’s availability for the UCF game is expected but has not yet been confirmed beyond the coach’s update.
