Texas authorities have identified Alejandro Villegas as the featured fugitive for July on the state’s 10 Most Wanted sex offenders list. The 32-year-old Fort Worth resident is wanted for a probation violation related to an original charge of sexual assault of a child. The reward for information leading to his arrest has been raised to $6,000 for tips received during the current month.

Villegas has been at large in Tarrant County since January 2026. In March 2026, the Fort Worth Police Department issued a second warrant against him for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements. He is described as standing six feet tall and weighing approximately 185 pounds. Authorities note that he maintains connections to Fort Worth, Arlington, and Dallas.

His criminal history includes an arrest by Arlington police in 2017 for robbery, which resulted in a 36-month probation sentence. In 2022, Grand Prairie police arrested him for sexual assault of a child involving a 16-year-old girl. He was subsequently convicted and sentenced to 96 months of probation.

The Texas Crime Stoppers program, funded by the Governor’s Public Safety Office, provides cash rewards for tips that result in the arrest of fugitives featured on the state’s most wanted lists. So far in 2026, the Department of Public Safety and partner agencies have arrested 44 such fugitives. This total includes 32 sex offenders and eight gang members. During this period, $61,500 in rewards has been paid out.

Individuals with information are encouraged to contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477), submit a web tip through the DPS website, or send a Facebook tip via the link under the About section. All tips remain anonymous, and callers are assigned a tip number instead of using their name. DPS investigators collaborate with local agencies to select fugitives for these lists, which are published with photos on the DPS website.
