Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical Hamilton is scheduled to return to North Texas for a sixth engagement, with performances set to take place at Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth. The run will span 13 days, from July 14 through July 26, at the venue located at 525 Commerce St.
This upcoming stop follows a long history of touring productions that have kept the show on the road almost continuously since 2017, just two years after its premiere on Broadway in New York, where the original production remains active. The current engagement is notably longer than typical stops for a mature touring show.
The latest touring cast features Tyler Fauntleroy in the title role of Alexander Hamilton. He is joined by Jimmie "J.J." Jeter, who portrays Aaron Burr, the historical figure known as Hamilton’s rival. The production is recognized for its use of hip-hop music and for casting predominantly minority actors in the roles of white historical figures.
Tickets for the Fort Worth performances are priced between $69 and $169. Further information and ticket purchases are available through the Bass Hall website.
The show’s return comes during a period of national celebration marking the 250th anniversary of the United States. While the original Broadway production continues to run in New York, the touring company brings the story to various cities across the country.
