Karen Molinar, the former superintendent of Fort Worth Independent School District, has been appointed as the chief executive officer of Rev Partnership, a nonprofit organization based in Tarrant County. The appointment was announced on Tuesday by the organization.
Molinar served the Fort Worth school district for 28 years in various roles before leaving her position as superintendent in March. Her departure followed a state takeover of the district, which occurred after one campus received five consecutive failure ratings from the Texas Education Agency.
As the first person to hold the CEO title at Rev Partnership, Molinar will lead the group’s mission to improve educational results and increase opportunities for students and educators. According to a news release from the organization, she will manage organizational strategy, develop partnerships, advance programs, and handle community engagement. She will work with school districts, civic leaders, philanthropic groups, and other community stakeholders.
Molinar stated in the release that she has spent her career creating opportunities for students and believes in the power of partnership to create change. She noted that Rev Partnership has established a foundation of collaboration among Tarrant County superintendents and serves as a trusted forum for education leaders. She expressed excitement about joining the team to support the 750,000 students in the county.
Rev Partnership was founded in 2022 by Elizabeth R. Brands. It operates as a coalition uniting local superintendents, businesses, and social support networks to address systemic challenges in public education. The organization acts as a regional backbone for 17 public school districts in Tarrant County, including those in Fort Worth, Grapevine-Colleyville, Keller, Arlington, Mansfield, and Hurst-Euless-Bedford.
