A 57-year-old man from Grayson County has been charged with several drug offenses following an investigation into suspected drug trafficking. Charles Dewayne Ford, a resident of Annetta, was arrested after law enforcement executed a search at his residence located on Anneta Road on July 2, 2026.
The Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force, in cooperation with Kentucky Probation and Parole, responded to a complaint regarding drug trafficking at Ford's home. During the search, authorities discovered a marijuana grow operation in his closet, along with packaged methamphetamine believed to be intended for resale and approximately $2,000 in cash.
According to the uniform citation, Ford attempted to conceal the marijuana by placing it in a gallon-sized Ziploc bag and hiding it under other items in his closet. Additionally, officers found a notebook containing evidence related to narcotics trafficking and marijuana cultivation.
Ford has been charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance for possessing two grams or more of methamphetamine, cultivating marijuana (five or more plants) as a second or subsequent offense, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence. He was taken to the Grayson County Detention Center following his arrest.
