A security guard was shot and injured in the early hours of Thursday in Fort Worth's Cultural District, according to local police.

Officers responded to the 3300 block of Camp Bowie Boulevard at approximately 2:50 a.m. The location identified on the emergency call sheet corresponds to the Crescent Hotel. The report indicated that a security guard had been shot in the arm.

The injured man was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Police stated that he is expected to survive the incident. As of the latest update, no suspects have been taken into custody.

Detectives from the Gun Violence Unit are currently investigating the shooting. Additional details regarding the circumstances of the incident were not immediately available at the time of reporting.
