Fort Worth Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Friday night at an apartment complex in the eastern part of the city. The incident took place on the 900 block of Boca Hill Circle shortly after 9 p.m.
Responding officers discovered a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. He was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive, according to police statements.
Law enforcement has taken a suspect into custody in connection with the shooting. Records indicate that Zantrell Walker, 30, was booked into the Fort Worth City Jail early Saturday morning.
Walker faces several charges related to the incident. These include aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is also charged with evading detention and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
