The Rev Partnership announced Tuesday that Karen Molinar has been appointed as its first chief executive officer. The nonprofit organization, which operates in Tarrant County, stated that Molinar will lead its efforts to improve educational outcomes and expand opportunities for students and educators in the region.

Molinar brings 28 years of experience to the role, having served Fort Worth ISD in various capacities before departing as superintendent in March. Her departure followed a state takeover of the school district, which had faced significant challenges. As CEO, Molinar will oversee organizational strategy, develop partnerships, advance programs, and engage with the community. She will work closely with school districts, civic leaders, philanthropic groups, and other stakeholders.

In a news release, Molinar expressed her commitment to creating opportunities for students and her belief in the power of partnership to drive change. She noted that Rev Partnership has established a foundation of collaboration among Tarrant County superintendents and serves as a trusted forum for education leaders. She stated she is excited to join the team and help advance work for the 750,000 students in Tarrant County.

Rev Partnership was founded in 2022 by Elizabeth R. Brands. The organization functions as a coalition uniting local superintendents, businesses, and social support infrastructures to address systemic challenges in public education. It serves as a regional backbone for 17 public school districts in Tarrant County, including those in Fort Worth, Grapevine-Colleyville, Keller, Arlington, Mansfield, and Hurst-Euless-Bedford.

Brands described Molinar as a trusted and visionary leader who understands the opportunities and challenges facing students and school systems. She highlighted Molinar’s experience, credibility, determination, and commitment to improving outcomes for children as reasons she is exceptionally well suited to lead the organization into its next chapter.

Joe Harrington, superintendent of the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District, also praised Molinar. He stated that she has dedicated her career to serving students and strengthening public education. Harrington described her as a thoughtful, collaborative, and mission-driven leader who understands how to bring people together around a shared vision. He added that Rev Partnership and the communities it serves will benefit tremendously from her leadership.
