A helicopter pilot was hospitalized with minor injuries following an accident involving their aircraft in Parker County on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred near the community of Springtown, according to reports from WFAA-TV, a media partner of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

The aircraft initially touched down at a private airstrip located near the 200 block of McVoid Road. While the pilot was maneuvering the helicopter to refuel, one of the rotor blades struck a nearby tree. The collision caused the aircraft to go down, resulting in injuries to the pilot.

Emergency responders transported the pilot to a local hospital for medical treatment. The severity of the injuries was described as minor, and no other individuals were reported to be harmed in the crash.

Officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed the details of the accident to WFAA. They noted that the pilot was repositioning the aircraft for refueling when the blade made contact with the tree.

As of the time of reporting, further details regarding the specific cause of the crash or the pilot's current condition were not immediately available. DPS officials did not respond to requests for additional information regarding the investigation into the incident.
