Texas Health Mansfield Stadium, a new sports venue, officially opened its doors to the public on July 1, 2026. The stadium, which cost $88 million to construct, features a seating capacity of 7,000 and is part of a larger multibillion-dollar development project in Mansfield. The first event scheduled at the stadium is a match for the North Texas Soccer Club on July 4.
City officials, local businesses, and soccer executives are optimistic that the stadium will enhance interest in soccer and stimulate economic growth within the city’s $2.5 billion entertainment district. Mansfield Mayor Michael Evans expressed hope that the stadium will serve as the “southern gateway of soccer in the DFW Metroplex,” especially as the Dallas-Fort Worth area hosts the most FIFA World Cup matches in the nation, taking place in nearby Arlington.
The stadium includes four locker rooms, ten suites, and sixteen loge boxes, along with a club area that can accommodate up to 200 guests. It features a natural grass playing surface, designed to meet the needs of professional soccer teams.
Prior to its public opening, the stadium was utilized as the training facility for the Czech national team during the FIFA World Cup. Moving forward, the North Texas Soccer Club will host all of its home matches at this venue. The club competes in the third tier of American soccer and is affiliated with FC Dallas of Major League Soccer, both of which are owned by the Hunt family. Notably, Ricardo Pepi, a former player for North Texas SC, now represents the United States men's national soccer team, which recently advanced to the round of 16 in the FIFA World Cup.
