Keller, located approximately 13 miles north of Fort Worth, will host a variety of community gatherings and holiday celebrations over the next two months. The schedule includes activities in Keller, Roanoke and Northeast Fort Worth, ranging from seasonal festivals to professional awards ceremonies.
The calendar begins in November with the first Keller Book Tour on Nov. 18. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., attendees can sample hors d'oeuvres and wine while listening to local storytellers including Kyle Draper, Jesica Spawn, Dave Lieber, Wayne Gray, Mike Hernandez and The Kid Kakes. The event is held at 251 Town Center Lane, Ste. 2101, and costs $10.
Also on Nov. 18, Like Minded Nutrition will host a free event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 101 Town Center Lane, Ste. 115. The gathering will feature local vendors offering protein treats and giveaways, alongside a 100-meter rowing competition sponsored by RevFit Keller.
The second annual Harvest Fest takes place on Nov. 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Harvest Christian Center, 880 N. Main St. The free event will include a cake walk, food, candy, a bounce house and games.
December events kick off with Holly Days: Christmas in Keller Town Center on Dec. 1. From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., the city of Keller will host The Very Merry Light Parade, the illumination of the Christmas tree, a snow hill, photos with Santa, live stage entertainment, the Santa Scurry 5K and vendors. The event is free and located at Keller Town Hall, 1100 Bear Creek Parkway.
The Metroport Chamber will hold its annual awards luncheon on Dec. 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the DFW Marriott Westlake, 1301 Solana Blvd., Bldg. 3, in Westlake. The $55 ticket price applies to members who register by Dec. 1, while nonmembers and members registering after that date will pay $70. The luncheon will recognize chamber members and the regional business community.
