The Keller Planning and Zoning Commission has scheduled four public hearings for its meeting on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. The sessions will begin at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Keller Town Hall, located at 1100 Bear Creek Pkwy. Keller is about 13 miles north of Fort Worth.

The first hearing will address a request for a Specific Use Permit (SUP) for a property at 912 Keller Smithfield Road S. The applicant, Chase Hall, seeks approval for an approximately 2,259-square-foot detached accessory building. The structure is planned for a 2.46-acre lot zoned for single-family homes with a minimum lot size of 36,000 square feet. The property is situated on the west side of Keller Smithfield Road S., roughly 3,065 feet northwest of the intersection with Shady Grove Road. Jerry and Jill Pham are listed as the owners. The case is identified as SUP-2605-0016.

The commission will also consider three amendments to the City of Keller Unified Development Code (UDC). These amendments modify provisions originally adopted by Ordinance No. 1746 on July 7, 2015.

The first code amendment, UDC-2606-0005, targets Article One, Section 1.05, which outlines the departments and boards involved in land development. This change focuses on adjusting the role of the Planning and Zoning Commission within that framework.

The second amendment, UDC-2606-0003, affects Article Three of the UDC, which contains definitions. This proposal seeks to update the definitions for home occupations and medical spas.

The third amendment, UDC-2606-0004, modifies Article Eight, Section 8.17, which governs the TC-Town Center district. This change relates to allowable uses within the district and the requirements for screening walls.

Each of the UDC amendments includes provisions for penalties, authorization for publication, and the establishment of an effective date. The complete agenda for the July 14 meeting will be posted on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. Residents seeking additional information may contact the Community Development department at 817-743-4130.
