Paschal heads into the volleyball postseason having not lost a single set in district play. The Panthers went 14-0 in District 7-5A and won all 42 sets they played, final MaxPreps standings show.
Paschal is 25-14 overall and carries a 15-match winning streak into the bracket. Its closest district rival never solved it: the Panthers swept Arlington Heights on Sept. 25 and again on the Yellow Jackets' floor on Oct. 20.
The title is Paschal's third in a row. GM Sports Media reported last fall that the Panthers shared the 2024 crown with Arlington Heights and won a seeding match for the top spot, then went 12-0 in 2025 before beating Cleburne in the bi-district round.
Three Fort Worth ISD teams in
Arlington Heights finished second at 12-2, with both losses to Paschal. Everman was third at 10-4, and North Side took the fourth and final berth at 8-6.
North Side's season followed a clear line. The Steers lost both meetings with each of the top three teams and won all eight matches against the rest of the district, closing with a sweep of Polytechnic on Friday. They finished fifth at 5-7 a year ago and missed the playoffs.
Trimble Tech and South Hills (both 5-9), Polytechnic (2-12) and Wyatt (0-14) were eliminated.
How the divisions split
The UIL sends the two largest schools among each district's four qualifiers to Division I and the other two to Division II, using the enrollment figures schools submitted in October 2025. Paschal (2,110) and Arlington Heights (1,905) go to Division I. Everman (1,394.5) and North Side (1,587) go to Division II. GM Sports Media's playoff scenarios listed the same seeding.
The bracket pairs 7-5A with District 8-5A, where one berth was still undecided after Friday. Joshua took the championship at 13-1, Burleson was second at 12-2 and Mansfield Legacy third at 9-5. Mansfield Timberview and Burleson Centennial finished tied for fourth at 8-6 after splitting their two matches, each winning in straight sets on its own court.
That tie determines Paschal's opponent. Under the scenarios GM Sports Media laid out before the final week, a Timberview berth would put Burleson and Legacy in Division I, which would match Paschal against Legacy and Arlington Heights against Burleson. If Centennial advances instead, Legacy and Centennial would be the Division I pair, sending Paschal against Centennial and Arlington Heights against Legacy.
The Division II side is clearer for North Side, which faces Joshua either way. Everman would draw Timberview or Burleson.
Elsewhere in Fort Worth
Chisholm Trail is waiting on a tiebreaker of its own. The Rangers and Azle finished tied for fourth in District 5-5A at 5-7 and split their matches, Azle sweeping on Sept. 8 and Chisholm Trail answering with a four-set win Oct. 2. Chisholm Trail closed with a sweep of Brewer on Friday.
Both schools are larger than third-place Keller Fossil Ridge, so the team that advances would be District 5's second Division I seed, and the UIL bracket lists Frisco Reedy as its opponent.
Boswell finished fifth in District 4-6A at 5-9 and missed the cut. Southlake Carroll won that district at 13-1.
What comes next
Districts must certify their playoff teams with the UIL by Tuesday, Oct. 27. The first round is set for Oct. 29-31, and survivors move on to area matches on Nov. 2 or 3. The state tournament is Nov. 19-21 at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland.
