FORT WORTH, Texas — Mutts Canine Cantina, a popular combination dog park, bar, and grill, has permanently closed all of its Dallas-Fort Worth locations effective immediately, the business announced Monday.

The closure affects the Fort Worth location at The Shops at Clearfork on Clearfork Main Street, which had been serving customers and their dogs since 2018, as well as the Dallas location.

> "After many years of wagging tails, muddy paws, and friendships formed at the water bowl, today we're permanently closing our MUTTS Dallas and Clearfork locations," the company said in a statement posted to social media.

Mutts Canine Cantina operated on a simple model: a fenced off-leash dog park with a full bar and grill, where patrons could enjoy food and drinks while their dogs played. The concept proved popular when it first arrived in Fort Worth, drawing steady crowds of dog owners to the Clearfork development.

The company did not provide a specific reason for the closures. The sudden shutdown follows a challenging period for the broader restaurant and bar industry in North Texas, which has seen several high-profile closures in recent months as operators navigate changing consumer habits and rising costs.

Membership holders and customers with existing reservations were directed to the company's website for information on refunds and account credits. The Shops at Clearfork, the upscale mixed-use development that housed the Fort Worth location, has not yet announced plans for the vacant space.
