Fort Worth, Texas — Jennifer Ridgeway has joined the Dallas Mavericks as chief impact officer, taking responsibility for the organization’s philanthropic and community-engagement strategy.

Before coming to Dallas, Ridgeway worked in executive leadership with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx. Sports Business Journal said she will report to Mavericks President Ethan Casson.

Her new portfolio includes corporate social responsibility, charitable programming and outreach on behalf of the NBA franchise, according to D CEO and Sports Business Journal.

The Mavericks play their home schedule in Dallas, roughly 33 miles east of Fort Worth, making the club’s organizational developments relevant across the Metroplex.
