Austin Riley and Spencer Burke delivered multi-homer performances to lead the Atlanta Braves to an 8-5 victory over the Texas Rangers on Sunday. The win improved Atlanta’s record to 57-41, while the Rangers fell to 50-49. The game was played at Truist Park in front of 29,856 spectators.
Riley finished with two home runs, including a 416-foot shot in the second inning and a 413-foot blast in the fourth. Burke added two long balls of his own, connecting for a 395-foot homer in the third inning and a 392-foot home run in the eighth. Austin Riley also contributed a two-run single in the seventh inning.
Burke finished with five hits, a career-high total for the slugger.
