Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins' status for the team's Week 2 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals is uncertain after a hamstring injury kept him out of practice Thursday and Friday.
Collins was hurt during Wednesday's practice. NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that the injury was not considered serious by team doctors, but the receiver's availability for Sunday's game remained in question.
Ian Rapoport discussed Collins' situation Friday on The Pat McAfee Show. Rapoport said the absence from two consecutive practices was an unfavorable sign for Collins' chances of playing, while also noting that the injury itself did not appear to be severe.
Collins, 27, opened the 2026 season with seven receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets in Houston's 36-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills. He entered the season after recording more than 1,000 receiving yards in each of the previous three seasons.
