One significant question is whether the Texans will sign another quarterback to their practice squad. Currently, the team has only two quarterbacks, C.J. Stroud and Davis Mills, on the active roster.
Veteran Brett Rypien, who served as the third quarterback during the preseason, was cut during the roster reductions. Although the Texans appear satisfied with their current quarterback situation, they may explore available veterans in the coming weeks.
Another point of interest is which tight end will be inactive for the first game. The Texans have five tight ends on their roster, including Brevin Jordan, who was added back after the cuts. Each tight end offers unique skills, but only four can be active on gameday.
Jordan, who has been dealing with a leg injury, is a likely candidate to be inactive for the matchup against the Bills.
