Wide receiver Justin Watson, who missed most of the previous season due to an Achilles injury, is another player to watch. Although he was expected to contribute on special teams and in the offense, the depth of the Texans' receiving corps complicates his chances of securing a roster spot.
Third-year wide receiver Jared Wayne has made a strong case for himself during camp, especially following the season-ending injury to Jayden Higgins. Despite this, Wayne's position is still uncertain due to the competition from other receivers like Lewis Bond, Sterling Shepard, and Zay Jones.
Tight end Brevin Jordan's journey back from consecutive knee injuries has been noteworthy, but lingering injury issues during preseason may hinder his chances of making the roster. His earlier performance in OTAs and minicamps may play a crucial role in his selection.
