White Castle has chosen a location in Fort Worth for its second Texas establishment, with construction scheduled to start in early 2027. The new restaurant will be situated at the Shops at Chisholm Trail Ranch, located southwest of downtown Fort Worth near the communities of Benbrook and Crowley. The specific address for the site is 6013 Retail Way.
The Fort Worth project is a $2.1 million new build. According to state records, the company plans to hire 60 employees for the location. The restaurant is expected to open in mid-2027. The site is surrounded by other businesses, including Crumbl Cookies, Raising Cane's, Dutch Bros Coffee, and Chick-fil-A.
This announcement follows the recent groundbreaking for White Castle's first Texas restaurant in The Colony. That location, situated at 4520 Destination Drive in the Grandscape area, is currently under construction and is slated to open in the fall of 2026. The company, which has a 105-year history of selling cheeseburgers and square-shaped sliders, has a long-standing presence that has led some to mistakenly believe it had already entered the Texas market.
Jamie Richardson, the company's Chief Marketing Officer, stated that Texas represents a significant opportunity for the Ohio-based chain. However, she noted that the current focus remains on the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area. It is not yet clear how many additional White Castle locations the company will open in North Texas, nor when Texans in other parts of the state might see a restaurant.
