Texas state troopers arrested 30-year-old Trevion Mark on Tuesday afternoon after he allegedly led officers on a chase that concluded with his white Hyundai Elantra entering a creek bed. The incident began near New York Avenue and East Berry Street in Fort Worth when troopers attempted to stop the vehicle for a traffic violation around 1:45 p.m.
Mark reportedly abandoned the car and attempted to flee on foot, leaving a child inside. With assistance from the Fort Worth Police Department and the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office, officers located and detained him nearby without further incident. The child was transported to a local hospital for non-incapacitating injuries and is expected to be released to a legal guardian.
Mark faces charges of reckless endangerment and evading arrest in a motor vehicle. His bail amount has not yet been established, and the investigation remains active.
