The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has announced that Alejandro Villegas, a 32-year-old sex offender from Fort Worth, has been designated as the Featured Fugitive for July 2026. As part of this initiative, the DPS has raised the reward for information leading to his capture to $6,000, but only for tips received during this month.
Villegas has been sought by authorities in Tarrant County since January 2026 due to a violation of his probation related to a previous conviction for sexual assault of a child. His most recent arrest occurred in 2022, when he was taken into custody by the Grand Prairie Police Department following an incident involving a 16-year-old girl.
Standing at 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 185 pounds, Villegas is known to have connections in Fort Worth, Arlington, and Dallas. The DPS encourages anyone with information about his whereabouts to report it through one of three methods: by calling the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477), submitting a web tip via the DPS website, or using the Facebook tip submission option.
Further details regarding Villegas's case or any additional context were not provided.
