Fort Worth Weird Moms Club says its Sept. 19 fundraiser brought in $7,277.60 and left $3,300 after event expenses.
The seventh Weird Mom Prom sold out Ridglea Theater, according to a club announcement published Sept. 29 by the Fort Worth Report. Guests attended under a theme inviting them to wear outfits they had saved for a special occasion.
The club plans to direct $250 to the FWAFA theater department and set aside $500 for a graduating senior’s scholarship this fall. The remaining $2,550 is earmarked for its building fund, which supports plans for a community gathering space.
