Arlington Plans Star-Spangled Events for July 4 Weekend

Arlington, located approximately 13 miles east of Fort Worth, is preparing for a busy holiday weekend with a lineup of events centered on Independence Day celebrations and the city’s 150th anniversary. The schedule includes sports screenings, parades, runs, and fireworks displays across multiple venues.

At Texas Live!, located at 1650 E. Randol Mill Road, the venue will host Match Day Live! featuring a screening of the World Cup match between Australia and Egypt. The event takes place at 11 a.m. on July 3. Admission is $40. The two-day programming at this location also includes live music, special screenings, and fireworks viewings.

For those seeking physical activity, the Arlington Independence Firecracker 5K will begin at 7 a.m. on July 4 at Levitt Pavilion, 100 W. Abram St. The race costs $40 to enter. The holiday concludes with Light Up Arlington at Choctaw Stadium, 1000 Ballpark Way. Parking lots open at 7 p.m. on July 4, with the show beginning at 9:30 p.m. The display combines fireworks and coordinated drones synced to 95.9 The Ranch radio station. Admission to this event is free.
