Veterans in Fort Worth, Texas, who are sorting out their next career can seek free help from TailoredVets, a nonprofit that pairs job-search coaching with mentorship that continues after hiring.

The organization works with veterans and transitioning service members from every U.S. military branch. It offers help with résumés, interviews, LinkedIn profiles and professional networking.

Danny Rojas and his wife, Thania O. Rojas, created TailoredVets after navigating Danny’s move from the Army into civilian employment. Their backgrounds combine military service, recruiting and human resources, according to the organization’s founders page.

How to get started

Start with the interest form on TailoredVets’ website. It asks about service history, career interests, location and separation timing. An initial conversation follows. Have a résumé or LinkedIn profile ready if available; a settled career plan is not required.

TailoredVets recommends reaching out six to 12 months before leaving the military, but also welcomes inquiries from people who have already separated. Questions can go to info@tailoredvets.org.

The organization says structured support can extend through the first five years of civilian work, with mentorship continuing beyond that. It does not guarantee a job or an introduction to an employer.

Program details were checked Oct. 6, 2026.
