A motorcyclist died following a single-vehicle crash in east Fort Worth on Friday evening, according to local police. The incident occurred in the 8300 block of Randol Mill Road.

Witnesses told investigators that the motorcycle was traveling at an excessive speed before it departed from the roadway. Officers who were patrolling the nearby freeway area also reported observing the same motorcycle passing them at a high rate of speed approximately ten minutes prior to the fatal collision.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office is currently handling the identification process for the deceased rider. Officials stated that this step will occur only after next of kin have been notified.

This event follows another serious two-wheeled accident in the region late Thursday night. That separate crash took place on Northwest Loop 820 and resulted in the death of a woman and critical injuries to a man.
