Fort Worth police are investigating a shooting that occurred late Friday night in the northwest part of the city. Officers were called to the 3600 block of Ward Park Lane around 10:45 p.m. following reports of a shooting.
According to police, a disagreement between a man and a woman escalated, resulting in the man shooting the female victim. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where officials described her condition as stable with injuries that are not life-threatening.
The department's Gun Violence unit has taken over the case and is currently leading the investigation. At this time, authorities have not released any information regarding the suspect's identity or potential charges.
