Fort Worth’s September project update places design for the Linwood and West 7th flood-mitigation project in fall and winter 2026, with construction expected to start in 2029.
The city lists a projected completion year of 2033 and a total project value of $110 million.
The project remains in development. Fort Worth says it is preparing an overall plan and identifying phases that can reduce flooding of structures in the Linwood and West 7th areas of Council District 9. The work is planned over several years.
