One Dead, One Injured After Overnight Shooting in Fort Worth

Fort Worth police are investigating a deadly shooting in southeast Fort Worth that left one man dead and another injured after a fight escalated early Saturday morning.

Fort Worth Police Department officials confirmed that an investigation is underway following a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in the southeast section of the city.

Responders were dispatched to the 4100 block of East Berry Street shortly after 2:20 a.m. after reports of a physical altercation. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the situation had escalated into a shooting incident.

A man, whose identity has not been released, was located at the scene with a gunshot wound. Despite efforts by first responders to provide life-saving treatment, he was pronounced dead at the location.

A second individual was also struck by gunfire. This victim was transported to a nearby medical facility in a private vehicle. Police stated that the second victim sustained a leg wound and remains in stable condition with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is ongoing.
