High school football teams in the Fort Worth area have their Week 5 slate set with games scheduled for Sept. 23 through Sept. 26. The schedule features a mix of district contests and non-district matchups across multiple classifications.
Wednesday’s action begins on Sept. 23 with two District 5-4A DI games. Kennedale travels to face Fort Worth Diamond Hill-Jarvis at Farrington Field, while Fort Worth Dunbar plays host to Fort Worth Western Hills at Clark Stadium. Both contests are set for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
Thursday, Sept. 24, brings several district matchups. In District 4-6A, Trophy Club Byron Nelson takes on Keller Central at Keller ISD Stadium. The District 11-6A slate includes Waxahachie visiting Dallas Skyline at Forester Field for a 7:30 p.m. start.
District 4-5A DI features three games that night. Fort Worth Arlington Heights hosts Fort Worth South Hills, WS Brewer visits Fort Worth North Side, and Fort Worth Paschal plays Fort Worth Polytechnic. All three begin at 7 p.m. at Clark Stadium, Farrington Field, and Scarborough-Handley Field, respectively.
Mansfield Legacy faces Mansfield Summit in District 8-5A DI at Newsom Stadium on Thursday night. Additionally, Canyon plays Sanger in a non-district game at Lion Stadium in Vernon.
Friday’s schedule is extensive, kicking off with District 3-6A games. Arlington Martin visits Aledo, while Arlington Lamar hosts Arlington at Maverick Stadium. Granbury takes on Arlington Bowie at Choctaw Stadium, and Arlington Sam Houston plays Weatherford at Kangaroo Stadium. All start at 7 p.m.
District 4-6A action includes Haslet Eaton visiting Southlake Carroll at Dragon Stadium, Keller traveling to Fort Worth Boswell, and Keller Timber Creek hosting Justin Northwest at Northwest ISD Stadium.
The District 8-6A slate features four games: Irving vs. Euless Trinity at Pennington Field, Grand Prairie vs. Haltom at Birdville Stadium, Hurst L.D. Bell vs. Irving Nimitz at Ellis Stadium, and Irving MacArthur vs. South Grand Prairie at Gopher-Warrior Bowl.
District 11-6A games on Friday include Crowley hosting North Crowley, Duncanville playing Red Oak, and Mansfield facing Mansfield Lake Ridge. All are scheduled for 7 p.m. at their respective home stadiums.
Other district play includes Fort Worth Chisholm Trail visiting Azle in District 3-5A DI, while Denton hosts Denton Ryan. Sherman plays Keller Fossil Ridge in a non-district matchup at Keller ISD Stadium.
